Mass transfer Laboratory

This laboratory is to impart knowledge on working and performance of all types of equipments such as Distillation setup, Liquid extraction, Absorption column, Cooling Through hands-on experiments real machines, students gain practical experience on the handling of equipments regarding their performance and can compare with theoretical concepts.

The intent of Mass Transfer laboratory is:

  • To provide the student with practical knowledge of handling the equipments
  • To correlate the theoretical classroom treatment with actual characteristics.
  • To demonstrate testing techniques of various machines and their results

Mechanical operations laboratory

This laboratory is having different setups like Sieve shaker, Jaw crusher, Leaf filter, Cyclone separator and sedimentation apparatus.

The intent of Mass Transfer laboratory is:

  • It deals with particulate matter that is crushing of solid matter from large to intermediate and from intermediate to smaller one,
  • Separation of solid particles from solid, liquid and gaseous streams.

Heat transfer laboratory

This laboratory is to impart knowledge on working and performance of Bare and finned tube heat exchanger Single effect evaporator Jacketed vessel Helical coil which they can have a practical experience of handling the equipments in small scale. It will be helpful for the students when they are working in industries.

The intent of Heat Transfer laboratory is:

  • To make the students to understand heat transfer characteristics materials and equipment.
  • To understand the mechanisms of heat transfer under steady and transient conditions.

Process control laboratory

Control Systems laboratory provides an opportunity to the students to learn and practice fundamental concepts of control systems. This laboratory is having different setups like PID controllers, Cascade control trainer (flow, level and thermal) This lab also consists of computers installed with MATLAB software for providing knowledge on simulation based experiments.

The intent of Control Systems laboratory is:  

  • To develop and design concepts of various controllers like P, PI and PID.
  • To determine the response of the second order system in time domain and frequency domain
  • Operations with necessary control models using simulation.
  • To enrich students on open loop and closed loop concept

Chemical Reaction engineering laboratory

This laboratory is having different setups like Batch reactor, CSTR, Plug flow reactor, Sono chemical reactor which he study and optimization of chemical reactions to achieve best reactor design and performance  and the students gain practical experience

The intent of Chemical Reaction engineering laboratory is:  

  • To study the progress of a chemicals reaction and determine the kinetic parameters.
  • To determine the effect of temperature on reaction rate constant.

Chemical analysis laboratory

This laboratory is to impart knowledge on working and performance of  Cloud and pour point apparatus, Orsat apparatus Bomb calorimeter, Guna soxhlet apparatus which is to acquire basic knowledge, concepts, techniques, and principles

The intent of Chemical analysis laboratory is:  

  • It will give students an understanding of the chemical methods used for elemental and compound analysis.
  • Students will be able to develop an understanding of the range of analytical chemistry concepts.
  • Students will be able to gain a basic understanding of the responsibilities that come with working on chemical analysis in industries.
